Celle Wasa Run 2025: Running for a good cause - Celle companies raise money for the Oncological Forum
Last week, Werner Hartmann, Managing Director of Hartmann Valves GmbH, and Dr Karsten Röttger, CEO of Ecoroll AG Werkzeugtechnik, presented the Oncology Forum with a donation cheque for €3,000.
"We are delighted that the industrial companies in Celle have combined sporting competition, team spirit and our work in the Forum for a good cause with this campaign," said Liane von Hoff from the Oncological Forum in Celle, "many thanks to all the companies involved for raising the donation."
Under the motto "Strong together - Celle industrial companies", the companies Dr Kaiser Diamantwerkzeuge GmbH & Co KG, Drewsen Spezialpapiere GmbH & Co KG, Hartmann Valves GmbH and Ecoroll AG Werkzeugtechnik joined forces this year in the relay race of the 41st Wasa Run for a good cause. The rules were simple: each participating team donated €500 to a donation pot and the winning team decided on the intended use.
The team from Hartmann Valves GmbH ultimately won the challenge. The recipient of the donation was chosen to be the Oncological Forum Celle, which has been supporting cancer patients and their relatives for many years.
"Cancer not only affects the patients themselves, but also their entire environment - almost everyone experiences this in the course of their lives among family, friends or colleagues. As a company, we want to assume social responsibility and send a clear signal of support with our donation to the Oncological Forum Celle. With its professional and empathetic support, the organisation does invaluable work," said Werner Hartmann during the handover of the donation cheque.
The campaign is to be continued in the coming year. "We hope that we can motivate even more companies to take part next time - for fitness, cohesion and to be able to donate a larger sum to a good cause," said Röttger.
The donation can now be used to support important projects of the Oncological Forum - such as counselling services, psychosocial support or aftercare programmes. A successful combination of exercise and humanity that can set a precedent.
