HGx-10 for spherical zones and concave fillets
The HGx-10 tool has been specially designed for machining balls. It can be used on conventional and CNC lathes. As this tool does not have an integrated high-pressure pump, a hydraulic unit and a high-pressure feed line are required.
- Specially designed for roller burnishing of spherical zones and fillets.
- Tool swivels around guide pin, which is mounted in the machine tool.
- Available in right-hand and left-hand versions with standardised clamping bar heights.

RKAK tools for spherical surfaces
RKAK tools are used for machining balls and can only be used on CNC machines with turrets for driven tools. In addition to the tool, a driven angular swivelling head is required (fixed or adjustable). The rollers of the tool are pressed against the spherical surface, which applies the required burnishing force. The workpiece’s rotational speed determines the feed rate.
- Processing of all metallic materials up to a tensile strength of 1400 N/mm2 and a maximum of 45 HRC is possible.
- Starting from a finished surface, a surface quality of Rz < 1 μm (Ra ≤ 0.1 μm) can be achieved.
- Complete machining in one chucking.
