HGx-9 for external machining of rotation-symmetric surfaces

HGx-9 tools machine all rotationally symmetrical components and irregular free-form surfaces. They can roller burnish and deep roll all metallic and hardened materials up to 65 HRC on conventional and CNC lathes. An external pressure supply is required to operate the tool in the universal standard version (hydraulic unit and high-pressure supply line). Pressure is supplied from the side or rear through the clamping bar.

  • Suitable for roller burnishing and deep rolling of all metallic materials as well as hardened materials up to 65 HRC.
  • Operation with external pressure supply.
  • Rolling force dependent on pressure, therefore easy to monitor process with consistent product quality.

RH for deep rolling of fillets (internal)

RH tools are used for the internal machining of fillets using the plunging method on conventional or CNC lathes and machining centres. Workpieces are completely machined in a single clamping operation after shaping, eliminating set-up times.

  • Introduction of compressive residual stresses in the surface layer, which lead to increased fatigue strength (particularly important for cyclical stresses).
  • Localised increase in strength through controlled cold forming.
  • Smoothing of the surface, thereby eliminating micro-notches.
